Acres of Opportunity Ranch provides a variety of programs, both educational and therapeutic for all ages and abilities. In addition to hippotherapy and recreational riding that provides for the physical and psychological well-being of disabled persons, we also provide a unique extracurricular activity and social environment for homeschooled students and children in foster care.

Acres of Opportunity Ranch (AOR) is an Equine Learning Center that offers several unique programs to the communities in Northern Colorado. Working in partnership with the horse, each participant is given a chance to create a relationship of understanding and respect in order to achieve their ultimate goals.

AOR provides a variety of programs, which are both educational and therapeutic. Offering private and group sessions for all ages and volunteer opportunities, AOR is able to serve the community with a wonderful horse experience.

Current Riding Programs being offered by Acres of Opportunity Ranch are
Little Equestrians, Barn Buddies, and private sessions. Each program addresses specific physical, emotional, and cognitive skills pertaining to each age group. One of the most popular volunteer programs is TLC, which is a program designed for volunteers to come and pamper our most valuable staff members—the horses! Acres of Opportunity also provides workshops for all ages interested in furthering their knowledge of horses. Common topics include daily management, nutrition, first aid, and hoof care.

Although participants that come to Acres of Opportunity Ranch enjoy riding our beloved horses, the programs are not riding focused. AOR recognizes the importance of education and life skills. Entrusting one of the most brilliant teachers of all, the horse, AOR provides a safe container for participants of all ages to learn.
