About Us
AOR is a “Second Chance Organization.” AOR provides a loving and safe place for people of all ages to come and enjoy nature on a level that works for all ages and abilities, physically and mentally. This means we do not turn away any person or animal from our program, based on mental, emotional, or physical restriction.
One of the ways AOR serves the community is by rehabilitating horses that have been rescued, injured, or partially retired in attempt to educate the community about horses. This effort helps minimize the number of horses that are “thrown away” due to lack of understanding and financial means to care for a horse. AOR takes pride in the fact that every program horse owned by AOR has, in some way, been rescued and rehabilitated by either AOR or the donors of AOR. This means that every program horse has been given a second chance to contribute to the education of our community in the best way they can.
In addition to the equine partners at AOR, there many other animals at the farm. AOR provides homes for cattle, pigs, chickens, and any other foster animal we may be able to help with a temporary or permanent home. To meet all of AOR's amazing Farm Animals, please visit our 4 - Legged Friends Page.
